What to Expect:

Sessions usually run one and a half to two hours long. Newborn sessions normally will take a bit longer. It is very important that all sessions are relaxed and Fun!

What to Wear:

This is the area that always boggles people. If I suggest anything, it is that you dress how you feel best. We generally like to avoid black clothing and white shirts - especially t-shirts. Bold patterns also tend to stand out (so you may want to rethink dad's Hawaiian shirt). Colors are great - the more the better. We'd love to see you wearing clothes that you like and that reflect your personalities.

Children photograph best when they are comfortable, so I suggest that you keep it simple as possible. Newborns and young babies photograph best in bare skin. If you are still unsure, pack a bag and I will assist you at the time of our session. Bring interesting texture, layers, bright colors, scarves, hats, jewelry, boots.....bring it all!!

Seniors: bring props. Letter jackets, a musical instrument, your dog, anything that shows your personality will make your senior pictures even more unique and special.

My Style:

Clean, uncluttered and simple. My goal is to make people look as good as they feel; in other words, their true spirt. I love shooting at your favorite park, at a lake or your local hangout. As you view my portfolio, you will notice that I am very flexible with my style and technique. My work includes classic portraiture to contemporary photojournalism to vintage photography and a few things in between as well. Whatever your taste, I'll provide you just what you are looking for.

Location, Location, Location!

You choose the location. I can come to your home, or we can meet at your favorite spot. My favorite places to shoot are open fields, urban settings, historic buildings, old barnyards or even train depots! While some of these might seem strange, each of these locations typically have a unique nature that lends itself to amazing photographs

Newborn Sessions:

I encourage you to book these early! You should book your session BEFORE YOUR DUE DATE! and schedule it to fall in the first two weeks of your child's birth. That beautiful newborn all curled up will only last so long. These are images that you will treasure for a lifetime.

Viewing Your Images:

After the shoot, we will schedule a time for you to come in to view and order your prints. We will put together a slide show of our favorite images from the shoot so that you can sit back and enjoy. After viewing the show, we will work with you to pick out your selections and place your print and/or album order.
