Before the guest arrived, before almost anyone was there, the bride walked her 83 year old father from Poland down the asile, talking to him telling him what was going to happen.  In my opinion, you don’t need to see their faces to know what they are sharing.

Hap and Jean Marie, I hope that you have a wonderful life together.  The party is only now really starting……

This is a cool new plugin for CS5 from Adobe labs called Pixel Blender. For some shots, I really like it.  Can do a lot of things, but the one that I like best os the Oil Paint. 

It was so dark where the reception was that I needed a VALS (Voice Activated Light Stand).  Thanks to Nat for making it all happen so well!!

To be honest, I have never shot a celtic wedding;  But I am not sure how many people have either.  I knew there would be a lot of color; and boy was I right.  Everywhere I looked there was red.  Red red and more red.  Just amazing.  To boot, they picked a perfect place, Callanwolde Fine Art Center in Decatur. The planner at Callanwolde, Khadijah, was so great.  She just made my life so easy.

It will take me a bit of time to go through everything, but I wanted to share a few images from the day.

Before I do that, I owe a ton of thanks to Nat Guname.  I don’t think I would have been able to do what needed to be done or capture the essence of the day without him as a 2nd shooter. Thanks Nat!

Each of the groomsman wore a kilt and appropriate attire.  Just amazing in the detail.

Nat and I were doing some portrits of Amy before the ceremony.  We had lights at the top of the stairs and at the bottom.  For one of the shots, I ran upstairs to adjust the lights.  As I looked down, I saw the below.  I yelled down (I know, not polite, but that is what I did) and asked Amy to stand still.  And the results speak for themselves.

Stuart has 3 amazing children from a previous marriage.  All were part of the ceremony and participated.  When we were doing some portraits of Stuart, one of them placed their hand on Dad’s shoulder.  And I had a vision. This is the result.  I love this shot.

Without question, this is my favorite shot of the day.  All of the groomsman getting ready for a shot and there was Stuart’s son looking up at him.  Just perfect and so touching.

The first time I met them, we talked about ideas and visions for their big day.  We went back and forth on how to make everything just so.  They were so open to suggestions on how to make it perfect that I cannot say enough kind words about them.  They made my job so easy.  Describing them as relaxed would be an understatement (even though they would tell you that they were not relaxed).  Even on their wedding day, they let me give them suggestions on how to make it just a little bit better.

I don’t think I could have asked for two more kind and generous people.  Thank you Pollye & Katrina for letting me be a part of your special day!

This is a big post, mainly because I had so many wonderful images it was hard to choose which ones to post and which ones not to.  So I decided to go just post them all (well, not really all, but a lot of them).  Enjoy!

I had a hard time picking the shots that I wanted to blog about today.  These are some of the ones that stood out most to be (trust me there are a lot more that are equally fantastic).  Enjoy the show.  I sure know that I did.

I have to be honest, this shot was a mistake.  As I was bring the camera down by my side,  I clicked the shutter by mistake.  But what a cool mistake it was.

To get into the hall, the groom needs to beg, bribe anything to get past the bride’s side of the family.  Lots of laughs happening!

As she left her parents house “for the last time” she threw rice over her head.  So cool!

Saying “good bye” to her parents.  I even cried.

I think they had as much fun as I did!

I love how you can see both of them in the same shot.  Both laughing, both with huge smiles!!

These 3 guys greeted us as we entered the temple.  Just wow!
